ABOUT MPT NORTH
The NLEX Corporation is a premiere company engaged in the development, design, construction, finance, operation and management of toll road projects.
It is the builder-concessionaire and operator of two major expressways that link Metro Manila to North and Central Luzon: NLEX and SCTEX. Stretching over 190 kilometers, the NLEX-SCTEX facilities operate 24/7 accommodating more than 200,000 motorists per day.
The NLEX Corporation also holds the concession for the NLEX Connector, an 8-kilometer all-elevated highway to be built along the PNR right of way, extending the NLEX southward from the end of NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 in C3/5th Avenue, Caloocan City to PUP Sta. Mesa, Manila.
It is a subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, the leader in toll road development in the Philippines.
PROJECTS
The 97-km NLEX runs from Balintawak, Quezon City to Sta. Ines, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Connecting Metro Manila to the northern provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga, it includes the operational Segments 8.1 and 9 and the future Segments 8.2 and 10.
A 94-km expressway which traverses the provinces of Bataan, Pampanga, and Tarlac. The contract to manage, operate, and maintain the SCTEX was awarded to NLEX Corporation, formerly Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC), by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in October 2015. SCTEX is divided into two major segments: Subic-Clark and Clark-Tarlac.
Traversing mostly along the Philippine National Railways (PNR) alignment, this 8-kilometer elevated road will pass through 5th Avenue/C3 Road in Caloocan, Blumentritt and España up to PUP Sta. Mesa.
The new NLEX Harbor Link section features the new Caloocan interchange (with on and off ramps along Grace Park), the new Malabon Exit (with off ramp on Dagat-Dagatan Avenue) and the new Navotas Interchange (with on and off ramps on North Bay Boulevard South). It lengthens the existing Harbor Link (the 2.42-kilometer Segment 9 between the NLEX Interchange to Bgy. Karuhatan, Valenzuela City and the 5.65-kilometer Segment 10 between Bgy. Karuhatan to the new Caloocan Interchange in Grace Park C3/5th Avenue).
