CAVITEX is a 14-km expressway along the coast of Bacoor Bay after south of Roxas Boulevard which exits to Bacoor City and Kawit, Cavite.
CAVITEX is located 11 kilometers from Manila, the capital city of the Philippines and 7 kilometers from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
This major road project was designed to further strengthen the commercial link between Metro Manila and the booming provinces of Cavite, Laguna and Batangas.
The CAVITEX is seen to ease traffic on a major stretch for travelers going to Cavite province, which hosts an export processing zone and other businesses and factories.
The Cavite-Laguna Expressway or CALAX is a 4-lane, 44.63 km closed-system tolled expressway connecting CAVITEX and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). CALAX will start from the CAVITEX in Kawit, Cavite and end at the SLEX-Mamplasan Interchange in Biñan, Laguna. It features state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly tollway facilities that not only aims to reduce travel time and traffic congestion but also decreases carbon emissions.
The CALAX will seamlessly connect several key towns and cities accelerating the growth of business and tourism in the region through its eight (8) interchanges:
- Kawit Interchange
- Open Canal Service Road Interchange
- Governor's Drive Interchange
- Silang East Interchange
- Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Interchange
- Laguna Boulevard Interchange
- Technopark Interchange
- Biñan, Laguna Toll Barrier
